What 3 most important items to start

Comfortable Bed Toilet (for night time use) Food/Water Everything else is extraneous; with a good night's sleep and a full tummy all other problems can be overcome.

[split] Portable Washing Machine and Dishwasher

How about this for a non-electric clothes washing option? https://www.treehugger.com/gadgets/foot-powered-washing-machine-lets-you-clean-your-clothes-grid.html

    PU Truck

My husband drives a 2010 Dodge Ram with 128,000+ miles and a Hemi engine.  The lifters knock terribly.  We've had it fixed once at a dealership and it started happening again.  We've heard it's a problem with Hemi engines.  He only drives short distances so we don't worry about it much, but if...

Why the Dearth of Mini-Class C RVs???

Months ago PPL Motorhomes had a Thor Majestic 19 ft model for sale; it lasted about 3 days. As other posters have said the Cruise America website has a section of units that are for sale; all are quite high mileage, three years old and range in price from $25K to $33K. I also like the smaller...

    Travel Lite Experience?

I looked at the website and it's different and interesting but probably not for me.  A little too spartan on the inside, like (as the description says) being inside a cooler.  Anything you can hose out and wipe down is probably a niche product for people who have that need.  The design is ok...

    Stealth Tooth Brushing?

I read once in Prevention magazine that toothpaste is primarily a cosmetic. The dry brushing or using only water works just as well. Foamy toothpaste gags me so I use very little and have thought about experimenting with dipping the clean toothbrush in mouthwash instead. I brush once a day and...

    Travel Lite Experience?

Saw it, don't like it. I don't like having the dinette in front of the bed. I don't like cabover beds period. I'm 5'11" and can't even sit up in a cabover bed, much less climb up there and scooch around to sleep. I would be bashing my head constantly. That's why I like the Rayzr. Small, yes but...

    Why microwaves?

Ha ha! Bingo! What's the point of "camping" if you're gonna drag the whole house along? Full-timers notwithstanding of course. I have family members who are full timers and in that case I'd want more than the basics. My must haves are a comfortable bed, room to stand up (I'm 5'11") and a toilet...

    Why microwaves?

I understand the convenience of microwaves and have debated whether one could get by with ONLY a microwave. But that would require being hooked up or carrying a generator all the time. I'll probably never be a full-timer so I was thinking in minimalist terms. What could I get by without? Right...

    Why microwaves?

Why is it that so many RV manufacturers insist on sticking a microwave into sometimes even the smallest travel trailer or pop up camper? They take up valuable storage space and use valuable electricity! Those of us who grew up and learned to cook prior to when microwaves were invented know we...

    New Idea for Hair Washing

Thought this might be useful.  :D https://www.facebook.com/Trustmeiamamechanicalengineer/videos/934139070061030/ Sorry for the Facebook comments, I thought it would just post the video. Amusing nonetheless.

    Woman's Forum: Potty Issues

They sell it on Amazon and there are some reviews to read.  Four stars average.

    Pee Pee Width.

I guess the "kitchen" is the microwave and refrigerator. I'm assuming the heater is electric. There is no propane in these models. There is no kitchen sink, just the tiny bathroom sink. Not sufficient for a full-timer obviously. I like the fact that it has a permanent bed and the little...

    Pee Pee Width.

https://www.rvtrader.com/dealers/Jerrys-Camping-Center-3041906/listing/2017-Xplor-Campers%2C-Llc-12SDFB-Cozy-Cabin-120984447 I love this little trailer. These are few and far between, small family company I think. The manufacturer website is not too sophisticated. I like the cassette toilets...

    Pee Pee Width.

I am not a tiny person, 5'11" and 200+ lbs. I am the exception where I actually WANT a wetbath so I can sit down when showering (leg shaving, etc.). I hate the shower stalls with the plastic floor that "gives" and bends when you stand in it because I'm afraid it's going to crack. Wetbaths...

    No refrigeration?

Absolutely!  I read a lot of historical novels and seems like everyone is always eating bread and cheese.  Maybe a little meat if they were lucky enough to fine some wild game.  Only if you were wealthy did you have regular vegetables, fruit (apples, pears, etc.) Spices were expensive and rare...

    Beds/Sleeping

That's the thing, most jackknife sofas are not level.  One side is higher than the other.  Then you have to top them with a pad to cover the crack and even out the surface a little.

    Beds/Sleeping

Neither at the moment.  Doing my research in preparation for retirement.  Visiting RV shows and dealers, reading forums, etc.  My sister and her husband are full-timers, 33 ft. class A.  I have several cousins who are retired and full-timers in class C's.

    No refrigeration?

Interest concepts, but the prices!  Yikes!  Might look on Amazon and see if I can find reviews.
