Minivan was my first thought, too. When I traveled for Archaeology, I used our minivan, took out the seats, had plenty of leg room, and headroom (obviously, i couldn't stand up, but I could get dressed without any trouble), and room for gear. The used ones don't appear to cost much, either.

Yeah, if you're in and out a lot, it would get old packing it up. I'm planning to get at least one more panel, and will have that one permanently mounted on the roof. Good luck, and definitely pay WAY less than $1800!!

How much solar are you planning to have? If just 100w, why not get the solar suitcase? That way you don't have to go through the hassle of mounting, and you can park in the shade, and stick the panel out in the sun. If you want more than 100w, never mind. :D

I'm for sure saving up for more panels, anyway, just wanted to make sure the 6v batts were a good choice for what I currently have. Thank you!

Thanks, Mike! The light is only on for about 3-4 hours at night, shower water usage is more like 5-7 minutes as I turn it off while soaping up.
