Here we go again, Spark plugs changed, engine wont start.

LOL, some engines you just do so many times, especially working large fleets, that you can just rip everything out at once and put it all back together from memory. 4.6, 4.9. and 5.0 Fords are examples for me. :)

Here we go again, Spark plugs changed, engine wont start.

Before replacing the fuel pump, try spraying some carb cleaner to see if the engine tries to start. If it does, then you likely do have a fuel issue. If not, then it is probably a spark or timing issue. If you did not get the plug wires back on to the right plugs in the right order, that could...

Here we go again, Spark plugs changed, engine wont start.

This, check the firing order. The best way to change plugs on an unfamiliar vehicle is to take off one wire and plug at a time and replace it before moving on to the next.

There is a test you can do with your test light. There should be 2 plugs visible on the outside of the distributor. 1 with 2 wires, 1 with 4. The one with 2 should have a pink wire and a white wire. The pink wire should have a constant 12vdc with the key on. The white wire should have a pulsing...

This is where your multimeter would come in handy to check the primary and secondary on the coil for continuity.

    Coolant Reservoir Bubbling?

Great stuff. Be aware that the radiator can pass a pressure test but the cap can still be bad. Pressure test the cap also.

    Finding Van Dwellers in Chicago

Good luck and welcome. I would not want to try Chicago or NYC. Way too cold and too many people imho.

Possible but unlikely to just cut off and not try to restart. Should have started out by missing, stumbling etc... That is why I was asking about carb cleaner so he could try to start the car with that by spraying into the carb while cranking if he actually has spark.

Just in case we keep missing each other, here is a quick primer on what you need to do. It is written for the non-technician. It is not exactly for your vehicle, but the ignition system should be the same or very similar. If it isn't, please take and post a pic of your distributor so I can see...

The coil is sitting on top of the distributor. Do you have any way to check for spark? Do you have any carb cleaner? What tools/equipment do you have? Do you have anyone who can crank the engine while you check for spark? Do you have a multimeter?

    The Rat Race

Is the climate changing? Sure. I don't know how old you are, but I remember reading about the coming ice age in Time Magazine back in the 70s. Now it is "global warming". Ok, we must be doing some serious polluting to be raising the temperature on Mars and Pluto.  Have you guys not...
