IMO, that make pulley misalignment less likely. I would look at the load you are putting on the engine. It sounds as if it MAY be load dependent. I have been putting anti-seize on plugs on plugs since I started working on cars. I have never regretted it. Every mechanic I have ever worked with has done the same. A thin layer if anti-seize will not interfere with the ground path of the plug. I have never heard of that happening.

Use a very light coating of anti-seize on your plugs before installing them. Use the right plugs for the car. Gap them correctly. Use dielectric grease on your plug wire connections. Do the tune up one cylinder at a time. Change your plug wires also. Don't forget the fuel filter. I also always...
