    '87 Chevy G30 - 34k miles

Its definetly going to need U-joints soon. I would poke the heck out of it everywhere with a screwdriver, when the owner was not looking. The title is a dead giveaway for rollovers. Box A The Mileage stated reflects the actual mileage Box B The Mileage stated is in excess of the odometer's...

If it belong to an EMT company they would do their own in house maintence and would not report it to anyone. Not saying that is the case here, just pointing it out.

What are your thoughts on this van? '89 B250, $4,000

I know people with cars a few years old, that have done alot of that and are still making car payments. I always wondered why everyone in the old days, use to chop the dodge vans roof more often then other vans.

    Drawbacks of a Van

Thats one thing I never understood. Why house appliances?  With the exception of a micowave they make everything in 12 volt DC. You don't even need to convert from DC solar power to AC. My DC coffepot is seriously going on 23-24 years.

    Drawbacks of a Van

I agree keep it simple. A conversion van, is also perfect for me and my better half.

What are your thoughts on this van? '89 B250, $4,000

Nothing wrong with buying a 28 year old vechicle. I would prefer one over a new mini van any day. $4000 seems kind of high i would over them 3200.00 -3600.00 if its in great shape. Dont worry too much about the appliance's, a decent van with nothing in it will cost you that much. Consider...

    Got a van

Look inside the driver door for a sticker that has the recommended tire size on it. It should be like a 225/75R15 or 235/75R15  in stock size.  Is the 205 75 15 a donut tire? I would list the 17's on craigslist you should be able to trade them for stock rims and some cash.

V6 or V8 in a full-size Chevy Express cargo van?

I had a 2002 trailblazer  and it was averaging 20-21 mpgs on the freeway, it sucked in the city, about 15-16 mpg.

More then likely a broken U-joint. That would explain both going at the same time.

Need advice on a Class B purchase

I dont think it was desperation,  just what work best for the engine. Dodge always borrow parts from both ford and GM's. I had a 70 torino with a 429 Cobra jet and it had a Rochestor Quadrajet carburetor from the factory. Here's the tech http://429mustangcougarinfo.50megs.com/new_page_2.htm

Phoenix people dont bother seeing this one.

It actually looks better in the pictures. I went to go see this with a friend that is looking for a cheap one. I seen better looking Vans  in junk yard's. Its got a regular 302 (5.0) and a 4R70W that shifts good. Four bald tires, the drivers side front tire is chewed up pretty bad and lean's...

1995 E350 turn signals & hazards not working

Common problem. Its the emergency flasher switch on top of the column. Hit it with wd-40 or electrical contact cleaner whikle working it up and down. It usually gets dirt and dust build up. Compressed air will help too. For some wierd reason everything is wired through that switch. It will...

How many rpm's on a mountain climb?

Turn off the AC on climbs. Go to a lower gear if you need too. Especially if pulling a trailer. Going downhill definetly go to a lower gear to slow you down. Do not ride the brakes downhill or they will overheat and fade and possibbly catch fire. RPM's (revolutions per minute)  have nothing to...

    Frame Rust?

Only part that looks bad is the bolt on the ear right behind the spring. Possibly where the body mounts to the frame.
