Installing Windows on a Van

Has anyone here added windows to their van? Like, windows to a cargo van? I'm just trying to get a ballpark figure of how much it costs to install a window, thanks.

    bus ride dwelling

I did this a few years ago, I got clever and thought what if I could basically get a greyhound bus pass ($500 for 2 months nearly unlimited rides in that time) and go all over the country to take city photos, basically sleeping in the bus? Well, I did just that. I went to over 20...

Which is the best van? Ford, Chevy, or Dodge?

    Well, for example:

'97 to '03 Ford E Series vans with Triton 4.6 and 5.4L engines (which are probably most of them) are known to have blown spark plug problems, which can cost thousands of dollars to fix (it won't happen to everyone, but many have complained about this problem.)<br...

1996 Ford E350 high top extended - how about this one?

Nevermind, the guy sold it yesterday. Argh, I knew about this van for 2 months, it didn't occur to me until today that it was probably a good deal after all.

1996 Ford E350 high top extended - how about this one?

Also, according to Carfax service records, it has been routinely serviced all the way to a year ago. It has 33 service records.

Examples of service records:

4/25/2007 - 93,910:
Oil and filter changed
Brake fluid flushed/changed
Ignition lock cylinder...

1996 Ford E350 high top extended - how about this one?

I originally dismissed this van because of the complexity in getting rid of the lift, its age, and possible sign of a side impact collision. However, this is the only van I've seen with big enough back doors to be able to stuff in a 5 foot balloon (for doing balloon aerial photography.)...

    How about a Honda CRV?

^^ The back of the CRV is 6 ft long behind the seats if the back seats are removed. I happen to be almost 6 ft tall.

How the heck do you find a good van?

^ I'm not native to Tucson, my friends are all in California (L.A. especially.)

How the heck do you find a good van?

BTW, are airbags really that important? I cringe on compromising my safety just to get a cheaper vehicle.

    Is this a dealbreaker?

BTW, I posted about this on a forum of with retired mechanics helping, they said that it is suspicious and to check underneath the carpets for moisture. I'm wondering if its worth the 120 mile drive again...

    How about a Hyundai Accent?

I do have a Honda CRV, however it's mpg is not as good as I'd like (18-27), and I was thinking of giving it to my mom since she needs a reliable vehicle. I noticed that the Hyundai Accent is a hatchback not much smaller in interior space than the CRV and gets about 30 mpg city and 40 mpg...

    How about a Honda CRV?

I've been considering to buy a fullsize van, however I'm having a hard time to find a good van, and...

I already own a 2007 Honda CR-V. What do you think about this for cardwelling?

<img src="http://img2.netcarshow.com/Honda-CR-V_2007_800x600_wallpaper_01.jpg" alt=""...

Please tell me what you think about this van

My only other issue with this is its low MPG (11 - 15 mpg.) I remember driving my dad's SUV around the silicon valley and remember just how much money I had to spend in gasoline (that got about 12 - 15 mpg.)

How the heck do you find a good van?

^ It's not so much the price but the amount of risk I'm taking on something (vandwelling, likely fulltime) that I don't even know will succeed or not.

I'm not a dishonest person so I'd have a hard time selling a vehicle to someone if the vehicle had serious problems, as a result I'd...
