Yes... I have looked around on there some.

    Tire shopping

I am close to being ready to buy a set of tires for my Class B van.

I am on the fence about if I should stick to Highway all-season or go with on/offroad tires. I see myself perhaps going off road a little bit maybe.. but with a big heavy 2WD Class B, it's not like I will be...

Yes, Put That on Layaway Please!?

If anything, go join a local credit union and take out a loan if possible. Sure, there's some interest but you'd be able to use it while you make payments on it. Otherwise, open savings at a credit union and save up the money to buy one outright. Stay away from banks!

    Getting prescriptions on the road?

Yeah, not sure. And the odds are he probably won't be going but... there is a slight chance he might.
Getting prescriptions on the road?

Problem with that is that 'mental illness' meds tend to be the kind that doctors want to see you every so often before continuing to hand out prescriptions. At most they usually go 6 months, but no longer. So he'd have to be back here every 6 months... or at least, going to SOME doctor SOMEWHERE...

    Getting prescriptions on the road?

I'm more than sure that some people who do full time RVing/travelling are bound to be on prescriptions that that need to see a doctor to get refills for fairly often.

I am asking this due to a friend of mine who may be traveling with me at least for a while and he will need to be able to...

    The Man Purse

I used to carry a backpack with me all the time when I didn't drive (so I walked, biked, used city buses etc). I had to leave it at the front counter at the thrift stores I would go to.

In recent years, I think Wal-Mart has quit bothering to fuss at people with backpacks. It begins...

    poll about what everyone has

1978 Dodge B300 chassis Xplorer Class B. Transmission was rebuild last year by a previous owner. Unsure of mileage on engine, 130k probably but could be 230k.
Jobs

My trade is PC repair. That's ALWAYS in demand no matter where you go. And I charge about 50-60% less than Best Buy and other such places.

Some people distrust someone if they don't work for a computer shop but my regular customers are plenty happy.. as well as the newer ones who have...

    Alcohol

I live close off an exit from an interstate in a rural area. When you come straight off the exit, at the end it has a small "Y" median (enough for even the smallest car to drive up on without problem) that has a stop sign dead center. People manage to come flying up the exit ramp and...

Well Now I've Done It! :D

Congrats! You'll appreciate having a high top. I had a nice 97 E150 conversion van but it lacked high top... it SUCKED for head room. The 78 Dodge (with a 360) I have now has a dropped floor so I can fully stand up inside which is awesome.
Minimalism

I find it hilarious that they have "dink" painted on the side of it.

Do they not know that's slang for being a jerk, an a-hole, etc? In other words.. the last person you'd want to buy a car from?
Selecting a van

While not the most fuel efficant beasts on the road... I feel you can't go wrong with a Ford Econoline. They are insanely common and easy to get parts for. Garages that work on fleet vehicles can work on them with ease. Plus they are nice and big inside.
Living from Bike

Back before I got my drivers license I thought about bike travel but I'm way too chicken to even really attempt that. *lol* I'd car dwell in a early 2000's corolla (36mpg) or in a VW TDI wagon (40mpg) before I'd try that.

Or on a trike of some kind maybe.. which I also considered. But...

    Hello!

It's actually looking pretty hopeful. The people who toured it want it but we have to go through some hoops to try to make it work. I may have to end up paying $2000 out of pocket to help sell it anyway... (I won't pay naymore than that) but due to laws about how much precentage can come...

    Motorhome VS Travail Trailer?

I'd say it depends on if you plan to be in RV parks 99% of the time or not.

If you want to do a lot of urban overnight parking, you have twice as much "vehicle" when you have a trailer behind a truck. If you want to just find an RV park most of the time and unhitch your trailer and drive...

    Vehicle Inventory

Allstate allows you to add insurance for contents as well but right now I just have basic liability with uninsured/underinsured since I am not living in it yet. I may or may not keep the insurance with Allstate once I am ready to live in it since I want to check with companies who specialize in...

    Best toilet options?

Despite my van having a toilet in it, I plan to mostly use public restrooms as much as possible to save having to dump the toilet. It's a Thetford recirculating one so it doesn't have a great deal of capacity anyway. Plus the cost of chemicals to keep it maintained.
