    Shower brainstorming

wagoneer, Using the mist setting at 45 lbs pressure I use about 0.75 gallons a minute. There are times when I just need the HOT shower and the water is just what it is. You can use the head to stop and start the water to save water if you need to. Corky

    Shower brainstorming

The two heaters are the same, made in the same factory, both are good. Shower head has been great so far, the mist is great for relaxing muscles with HOT water. FloJet is what I use for my pump. Corky

Shower works...

    Shower brainstorming

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Plasgad-Black-Large-Concrete-Mixing-Tub-887102C/205451585 I use a Home Depot mixing tub with a hole cut in the bottom. Higher sides make it easier to get a leak free wall to bottom interface. You do have to step over the side wall, but it keeps the mess down.

    Shower brainstorming

I'm planing on using FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) from Home Depot, about $20 a sheet. FRP is easy to work with, waterproof and has rails and corners you can buy(also cheap). I plan on using both nails and glue to attach it to the studs I already have up.

    Back In The Game

After several months of living at my parents and being a caregiver, things have changed and I'm back to building my 1982 Eldorado Transvan. I've found a parking spot with a 50' x 50' concrete pad. cable, power and water down here in Lakeside CA for a reasonable cost. The place is nice in that...

    Dogs boondocking

I've yet to see a pen that would stop a yote and all it does for the little dog is to keep it from running and hiding. Corky

    S.A.M.E. Weather Radio

I saw a prototype Midland at CES that had a GPS chip in it and it knew where it was and what code it needed. One button push and the radio was setup, neat, but not on the market yet.

    When Forgiveness Comes Knocking...

Are you sure the breakage was even done intentionally? Over the 35 years I've been RVing, I've had two windows and a mirror broken by tire thrown rocks, I witnessed two of the accidents and my son the third, so I know they were accidents. A small rock shot from under a tire has much more force...

    S.A.M.E. Weather Radio

MT, I'm an S.A.M.E. fan because it allows me to have the radio listening for problems but not making noise until it thinks I need to know. I travel in the Mid-West quite a bit, have the radio go off if there is a tornado warning has saved my butt at least twice. The warning and watch alerts...

    S.A.M.E. Weather Radio

MT, The radios with S.A.M.E. usually scan and lock to the strongest of the stations on the seven channels. You put in a location code for the area you are in, the FIPS code, which I usually get from the net, but I can also find it on my GPS, just to many button pushes if net is working. You...

Dash Cam, CB Radio, 2-Way Radio

Casey, I have the Midland CB and it's a great little unit. It also has a very good weather radio built into it. I move the CB between my TransVan and my towed, it's quick and easy to do. You might want to look at adding a Sat radio to your equipment, I like not having to look for my stations...

    S.A.M.E. Weather Radio

I'm a bit of a junky for weather radios, especially the newer digital versions that are quiet until the have a reason to make noise. I set up the weather radio for my location anytime I'm going to sleep and keep the weather radio on while driving, last time it saved me from driving blind into a...

    Park Rangers

Interesting set of assumptions on the part of the ranger, wonder how it will stand up in court? The theory taken to the absurd would mean that a person on vacation while moving from coast to coast would be breaking the law while crossing the park, hummmm........ Corky

    BLM

I use DeLorme Topo and a GPS bug on my computer, shows way more BLM land than most people know exists. I've found and used places in areas where even the locals didn't know it was BLM land. If you don't want to use a computer the DeLorme Gaza teer maps also have the same information. Corky

1982 Ford Econoline E-350 Transvan 24 ft., 460 ci, carburetor V-8, towing a 1996 Tracker/Sidekick. I added a Gear Vendor overdrive to the 3 speed automatic, now a six speed and second over is a big help in the mountains. Prior to Gear Vendor upgrade I got between 7 and 8 mpg, after upgrade...

Does a travel trailer count as an RV?

You sure it could get to minutes, I might buy seconds, but I think minutes might be a bit iffy. Corky
