Women Only: Need a blessing or advice

Sending another virtual hug your way. My heart hurts for you. Somehow this will work out, just keep the faith for a little longer. One day at a time. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Women Only: Removal of Castile Soap from Hair

Many, many years ago I knew a model with gorgeous long hair who shampooed with Tide laundry detergent. I have no idea if the ingredients are even the same today, but you could check and see if it might be a solution.

Best car to sleep in back with no modifications?

My Outback is comfortable to sleep in. Seatback, when down, is raised a bit, but I like having my head raised up an inch or so when I sleep. There is a gap between the back seat and the back of the front seats, but if you need extra length you can stack a couple of plastic storage containers in...

    Do it or lose it!

It sounds like you have done all you can do and nothing has changed. So it’s time for you to take care of yourself. My sister & her adopted daughter live with me, my niece was abused as a baby and has myriad emotional & behavioural problems - she’s almost 15 now, so I know a bit of what...

    Any recommendations Flagstaff area

You should check with the forest service about what areas are open - much of the Coconino NF is currently closed to all public access, including many of our campgrounds. I believe The campgrounds at Sunset Crater NM are still open.

Coconino Nat’l Forest Closures to all public access

Just a heads up to anyone planning to camp in the Flagstaff, AZ area - large parts of the forest will be closed to all public access starting Wed. May 23rd until we get rain - the fire danger is as high as it has ever been here, historically.  Here is a link to the Forwst Service announcement...

    Winter driving in flagstaff

I have lived in Flagstaff for 12 yrs.  Winter conditions are vastly different from year to year and temps can vary WIDELY depending on what part of Flagstaff you are in - as much as 20 degrees at its most extreme from warmest to coldest parts of town (and precip varies just as widely - can be...

    Scaredy Cat

You can use treats to teach your cat to tolerate claw clipping. I just clip as many claws as she lets me, then give her a treat, wait a few minutes and do as many more as she lets me, then another treat. With patience you should be able to do at least two paws at a time.

Free RV site for Forest Service volunteers, Flagstaff

The Flagstaff Forest Service Ranger District is now putting out a call for volunteers for this summer and throughout the year. Most volunteers spend only the summer in Flagstaff. The Forest Service gives them free access to RV sites at the base of Mount Elden in exchange for 24 hours of work a...

Girls' Room Chit Chat Jumble Thread

Going back to mechanical trouble on the road... I broke down in the boonies once and was worried about being taken advantage of by an unscrupulous shop, so decided to go into a Denny's (my car still ran, but was making awful noises), and I asked the waitresses who I should call - it worked...

Small towns you'd settle down - Western US

Check out Cortez, CO  nice weather, not too many people or traffic lights, no college, but lots of retired Park Service people. I find the people living there to be, as a group, the nicest I've run into. A friend, whose van broke down in Cortez, later wondered what they put in the water that...

    Mice!

If you're in a forested area, keep in mind that Deer Mice carry hantavirus and take great care when cleaning up nests or feces - you must spray the feces with a 15% bleach & water solution before cleaning up to kill the virus. Whatever you do, DO NOT vacuum, this will spread the microscopic...
