Brian/Adventurevanman has invited people to stop by/stay in some area, but last I saw hadn't said where. Anyone know where?

    Slab city neighborhoods

What would be the best neighborhood(s) in Slab City for me and my two daughters (18 and 21yo) and our dog to spend one night?  We are looking for some place that's relatively quiet and safe.

    Looking for opinions on heaters

I love Slim Potatohead. He likes to tinker with different things. Makes sense he'd try the cheap diesel heater. And if it turns out to suck and be a pain and unreliable, then he's done a service to everyone who is thinking about doing it. It may not be good, but I think I'd take it over his...

    Let the van build begin!!

Looks really nice. I'm not sure I could sleep on the 5'8" bed even if I were 5'10", but I'm a little over 6'2" and a sideways bed won't work. It sure makes it easier to have a roomier setup.

    Land deals out there...

I should add "good friends".  The people thinking about it are people I've known for 25-35 years and I've done lots of stuff with them including going into business and owning property. My thought at this point would be there would be some common area where we had to agree on what to do and...

    Land deals out there...

I'm thinking about buying some land and splitting it with some friends. I'm thinking this would work best if you know the people pretty well, but I do think putting any work onto property that is not going to be attended is a risk. And when you start talking about structures and services and...
