Running my 2-panel portable setup in series and having the SC right by the batteries with temp control built in (Victron) helps not have to try to figure that all out. And then there's the convenience of bluetooth to make absorb and float changes doesn't hurt.
My point was being nice, despite the situation, tends to get you a lot in return, meaning less hassle than being hassled. Cops come in all shapes and breeds, some hate guns and people who carry despite the law allowing it, others are less concerned because they realize for everyone who says they...
Sure looks nice, depends on whether you want to spend that much on a part time machine. Have a 24' Chinook Destiny now, only issue is part time bed needs to be put up every day if 2 of you wull be travelling. Even the 21' Concourse is similar in set up, and then there are those with full time...
Conduct 100's if not thousands of traffic stops and daily encounters with people as a cop and then conduct one with someone who tries to comply and be nice by notifying they are legally carrying a firearm. Guess what the recipricity rate of beig nice back is that someone thought to be nice to...
And the bluetooth dongle has been connected. Needed a firmware update that took less than 2 minutes. Very cool to see the battery condition on a smart device instead of running wires and cutting holes in things.
Thanks, and yes, enough airflow over the top I believe.
The back of the controller has what appears to be aluminum bacling but set in from the plastic housing which makes contact with the aluminum on the slide out drawer.
Bluetooth dongle not pictured.
This is for my portable 80WX2 panels. I wanted to mount the SC sideways but Victron said it needs to be vertical.
All I have to do is pull out the coiled section and drop it out where I connect to the line from the panels using the SAE 2-pin connector. Short run...
How does a MPPT controller, such as the Victron 75/15 know to deliver volts for a 12V battery bank and not a 24V battery bank when it receives higher voltage due to series wiring and if the battery bank is 12V?
2 questions.
Are you saying an inline fuse inline from the panel to just before the CC is a good idea, and
2) does this inline set up at the batteries look acceptable?
