    24/7 Chat About Anything

Hello, Just a note on mud for you and others. I have been boondocking in N Arizona for two decades and have an infallible rule about mud. If you are concerned about an area/road getting muddy, if you don't see evidence of ruts from then past then it is not going to be muddy this season either...

    Buying Land

Thanks for that encouraging bit of info, RE "up to 10 RVs on a piece of land in AZ" . Would you mind sharing your sources of this info. It seems to be pretty liberal, but I would like to follow up on this. Thx

Cash only at some National Parks

The world has changed. A debit card is essential. However, most banks will not grant you an account if you do not have a physical address (hello nomads). So, I suggest just make up an address, or pick a real address such as a local UPS store. It works just fine.

Is it not possible that a cashless policy is simply a way to save on labor? Just swipe your card and don't worry that a friendly host will not be by soon.

If one wants to work remotely, here is an idea to add a little income. CAMBLY is a company that caters to folks where English is their second language, and they just want to practice speaking. Working for them does not pay much, but the hours are flexible and your job is simply talking with...

    Carla's Camper

smart move to go with AAA. I have only 'liability' coverage on the motorhome, so for me AAA roadside saves a lot of money. My main concern is not being able to change a tire. Only costs me $160 a year. Are you going to tow the trailer to the gulf coast? With no time to fully prepare, which...

    Interesting Articles Relating to EVs

Yeah, what you said. I was having a chat with a schoolie gal and I brought up the question of 'when fossil fuels become much less available for cooking, heat, and EV RVs are coming on line, what are we going to do? She said "wood stove". Well, there's a good idea. If I were younger I just might...

    Interesting Articles Relating to EVs

Well thought out comment based on the fact (lost on a certain reader) that it IS A PROTOTYPE. And assuming the expected improvement might see 200 mile range, that would fit a LOT of people. But tying oneself to an iffy energy source that may just go away some day, yes I have a problem with that...

    The SOY-if-a-cation of prepared foods

Well, soy is bad enough for those allergic, but for the rest of us knowing it's mainly GMO should motivate to avoid it.

    The SOY-if-a-cation of prepared foods

" Been going on for a long time. Yikes! Put on your chefs hat!! Kinda scary what they are cramming in our food now! A book I recently read is ULTRA PROCESSED PEOPLE by an English MD. If you have a fear of hospitals and want to have a good 'health span" ' grab this book. If you were appalled at...
