New to this site and new to rving.  So new I haven't started yet.  Trying to sell my mobile to get out on the road.  I can't do the stay put living anymore.  My children are all grown and have their own lives. My spouse is gone and  I have been feeling  like I have little to lookforward to but I love the idea of traveling.
i like my privacy and I am a loner but wouldn't mind meeting others who are like me.  Just for chatting on occasion.

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the CRVL Forum  :)

The first thing you may need to do is decide what kind of vehicle you would want to have to travel in.   Then once you have it ready to go,  you may want to take some week end camp out's at a State or National Park.  Senior days are generally from Sunday evenings thru Thursday.   Now that school is resuming there may be more spaces available.  If you just wanted to do an overnight, you could rent a U-Haul Van for $20.  You may want to have a folding cot, sleeping bag/pillow, ice chest, market umbrella for shade,  and camping stuff to take along
for the experience.  Much of this kind of stuff can be found in yard sales now that summer is over.

Since you are brand new to this let me invite you to check out the two websites below.  The first for converting a Van, Utility Trailer, or Car (a Bug Out Car)  into a low bucks Nomadic Rig.

The second is a portal of useful information to plan a trip while at home, preview it, or even use it once you are out  there.  A Swiss Army Knife of info for a newbie.   And....at the top there are links to a couple of chat rooms if you want to use either of them.

All the best

Thankyou for the warm welcome. I am going to get a Class C RV. My traveling buddies will be my constant companions, 3 small dogs. I have always loved nature and camping. i used to rough it when camping but I am permanently disabled so I have decided that a class c is the best way to go. I follow good old Bob wells religiously and watch his interviews. I don\'t believe I know everything but I hope to know enough by the time I can head on out of here

landyachtman, Thankyou for the welcome message and the tips. I always appreciate a kind word and help

Sounds like fun to have your doggos with you. Do they have health insurance? Mine doesn’t but she has a heart condition so I assumed they’d deny her. Have fun!!

Hi LERCA,  my dogs have  insurance.  I have care credit.  2 of them are senior and one is 2 years old.  I would rather travel with with my dogs than most humans I know. lol.  Thanks.

I can't imagine not having my doggy around. Traveling with him adds some challenges, but far more benefits. I haven't figured out the parrots place  yet though.
