Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of a hairdryer that  can be used off of a solar system?  Preferably 12 volt but could be  battery operated, etc.  Thank you.

Hair dryers are perhaps the highest amperage device among all those we use. They are infamous for blowing fuses and tripping breakers! Electricians, please chime in, I would love to see the numbers AND whether there is, indeed, some hack for this, for those who really need to use one.

My hair dryer solution was simply to grow mine out....not so glamorous, but I only have to wash it twice a week, and the rest of the time I braid it or put it up. I admit I miss looking a little more "put together" when I go to town, but everything's a compromise in life....

I keep my naturally curly hair in a short to mid-length bob and usually just let it dry on its own- however, my hair looks nicer if I can straighten out my 'bangs'. For this, I use a Conair thermacell curling iron. It works great! If possible, a quick flip over under the hand dryer in the ladies room. Also hats and scarves. Instead of lipstick, now, I use Nivea tinted lip balm. A pair of big dark sunglasses and I'm good (enough) to go. I use to have Lancôme on speed-dial; now, I am a beauty-minimalist. Ha!

Thank you for actually answering my question instead of informing me why I don't need one.  It was actually for my elderly little dog, who gets very chilled after baths and if temps are cold he needs to be blown dry.  So thank you, had no idea they made special lower wattage ones for groomers to use.
