Will a 24 DB gain wi-fi antenna work for HD TV also?

I have this Wi-fi antenna that I am not using in the Pocono’s with a 26 foot cable that will connect to a USB N wi-fi dongle that I also own.

I also have a folding camera tripod that I could repurpose to mount the antenna.

Using TV Fool https://www.tvfool.com with a smart phone compass app would this antenna also work to receive ATSC HD TV  via my USB HD TV Tuner?

It appears that HD TV is broadcast on frequencies completely out of the 2.4Ghz band. In fact photos of HD TV antenna look like there still on a much lower freq.
Answer No,

Any thoughts on this model mounted to a folding camera tripod with included usb powered booster?

I have a friend that has two TV's. One in the front room and one in the opposite end of the house in her bedroom. She had an outdoor antenna that worked well for her, but it got old and cracked and the reception started fading. Instead of getting a new outdoor antenna, she bought an original recipe Flatwave and an amplified one. She lives in town. She noticed little difference in strength between the two and is extremely happy with them. I bet if she were about 30 miles away from the broadcaster, she would much appreciate the extra oomph of the amplified one. Much less pixilation and about a 30% increase in signal strength. The antennas are floppy and she hung them on picture hooks on the wall. She also has a tin roof, so that hasn't been blocking reception. Antennas that work well aren't supposed to have that square design, but I can tell you first hand those antenna companies nowadays can make one heck of an antenna even if it is a small square one.

I've also owned an older Winegard antenna and it worked well. When I was Googling antennas years ago when I owned a TV, Winegard came up time and again among the highest rated brands; my experiences have proven that to be true.

This info isn't for the specific model you requested, but I have every confidence that the one are looking at will work as well and maybe a little better than the base models my friend has. I can see nothing wrong with mounting it on a tripod or in any manner inside your house. The easier you can move the antenna into the ideal position, the faster you will be able to sit down and enjoy your shows.

Frankly the 24 DB gain wi-fi antenna is huge and takes up way too much space.

Any issues with placing the booster near the PC where the 5V power is located vs. at the antenna at the end of 20 or so feet of coaxial cable?

Well according to the manufacture the amp can be near the PC or TV and that was the intended location, not out at the antenna.

I have no comment on it's performance, never used one but seems to get good reviews.

This kid made one from paper clips. Seems to work well

to get any range out of an antenna. the antenna must be matched to the frequency. since wifi and tv broadcast are not close in frequency, the short answer is no. however if you are close to the broadcast antenna almost anything will work. a piece of wire, coat hanger, whatever. I imagine in Florida being so flat almost anything will work. highdesertranger
