A good friend of mine is putting down stakes for a bit and decided to sell some of her RV stuff, and I managed to score here Waeco/Dometic CF-25 for the equivalent of $160 USD before she listed it on Kijiji/Craigslist. Killer price and couldn't help myself. Now, I just gotta figure where in hell I'm gonna stuff the damn thing. Will keep my Engel as a dedicated freezer and use the Waeco as a fridge. ..Willy. Damn.. do I EVER hate being drugged up. Lousy meds make it a gawdawful chore to type something in.. and I STILL end up making mistakes! Well, can't change the title, so gotta live with it. Shoulda been 'wacko' instead of 'wacho'. ..Willy.

I had to think about that one for a minute, but I did figure out what you meant before reading your explanation. No worry. Congrats on the fridge.

The Engel is a really nice unit, but has no option for freezing stuff whilst keeping the rest just 'cool'. I've been gettin' by, but was kinda sick og crunchy yogurt and, horror of horrors, beer squishies. Barring my buying a Whynter dual zone, or another CF-50, a second unit is my best bet. This way I've also got backup if one bites the biscuit. ..Willy.

I am thinking of having a ice chest for a fridge, and just use the electric model to freeze food and ice packs. That way I can get the best of both worlds.

the horrors, those beer squishies are no fun. I hate it when that happens. highdesertranger

Yup, frozen beer blows. I thought about going the cooler/ice-pack route in conjunction with the Engel but.. I'm too damned lazy. ..Willy.
