My van is gutted and there is a layer of dried adhesive everywhere. I would prefer to leave some areas bare but this stuff is stubborn and unsightly. Any product or method recommendations??

try WD-40. spray it on let it soak in then spray some more on and try to wipe it off with a rag. it really depends on what type of adhesive but WD-40 works on most. acetone or goof off also works but it is a much harsher chemical and stinks. highdesertranger

A rubber wheel decal removal tool will get rid of it without using chemical

After trying everything under the sun to remove the leftover adhesive from the previous owners' velcro crap, I found that Varsol worked the best.

Better than Goof Off, turps, peanut butter and WD-40!

I had to go back to the build thread I did here to remember what it was that DID work. I had several yards of decade old velcro adhesive to remove. It was slow painstaking and irritating work but I got it gone.

Have fun!
