Yeah, stuff like that... Invisible hand reaches inside your chest and touches your heart. You feel the chill down your spine but no idea where it is coming from. Chicken skin on your arms with the hairs standing straight up. Feeling a tear run down your cheek. Sometimes you just gotta let the emotions out but don't ever let anyone see you. I'm a big burly truck driver damn it and nobody sees me cry....
Just one more today... I'm from a coal mining family though I never got to go inside the mines. First generation flat lander born in Cincinnati. So many of my kin are either dead or dying from that black dust that filled their lungs just so their kids could eat. I seen it and it wasn't pretty but that was all they knew and all they could do. Life isn't fair sometimes but there are no promises made when you take your first breath of air. My kin are the strongest folks I've ever known and I try to uphold that family strength in everything I do. My kids were well fed and I thank God for showing me the direction in life I needed to go, not only to support them but still be around today to hug them and just say "I love you"...
I'm sure there were no roving band of pirate musicians and actual pirates didn't kidnap musicians just to have a theme song. This style of music is what we associate what we view as the romantic image of pirates. I'm guessing it was a hard and often short life but never the less it conjures up freedom and adventure akin to what the nomadic life offers.
I listen to a lot of older jazz, crooners, old rock, and some Greek music.
Here is one of my recently discovered blues/jazz new favorites:
When I need an uplift though, I listen to some of my favorite hymns:
The first 2 are by the Sretensky Monastery Choir, and the 3rd is the Lord's Prayer by Divna Ljubojevic and her ensemble
**Language Alert** These are Not in English but in Church Slavonic
Noticed that the Fleetwood Mac reference made earlier, "oh well part 2", isn't available. Could I substitute another? If so, here's "Iron Horse" by Mean Mary, easily a favorite of mine.
