The new owners of our Class B just drove away, and I miss it. I hope they enjoy it as much as we have....

Yeah! On to bigger and better accommodations!

So, Jerry ...

What's next?

Mixed feelings...we're glad it's going to a good home, but very sad it's leaving. It just wasn't going to meet our upcoming needs. We found a suitable pickup and are looking for a slide in camper. Never used one before, so I'll need a lot of advice.

I understand, sad and happy at the same time. Let the new adventure begin/continue.

Bob - that layout is pretty much what we're looking for, and the Forest River Palominos like that one are a lot more affordable. We want something with a bit of room, but basic on the extras. No rush right now.

Les. - thanks for understanding

Lonfu - it was perfect for what we did, but the sleeping setup would have driven us crazy long term

Blkjak - that's the most important feature. All those late night potty runs...

The new buyers are a great couple: in their mid to late sixties, I really thought the B wouldn't be right for them. I pointed out some of the compromising they'd have to do, the smaller sofa bed, etc. finally the man said that, just last month, he and his wife decided they couldn't continue tent camping from his motorcycle because the ground was getting too hard. Lol

Guess I learned my lesson. Pat and Frances, may the wind ever be at your back...

Its funny how the ground gets harder as we get older.

Rae

Jerry, did you get a dually? They don't fit thru teller and atm drives. A friend of mine went to Quarter Horse Congress and was going thru a mid life crisis. She bought a big aluminum horse trailer with living quarters and realized she didn't have anything big enough to tow it. Then she bought a dually. You can get anything at the QHCongress including horses. She told her teenage son he could drive it to the store but to not take it thru the bank drive thru. I don't need to finish the story about her week old truck.
Dragonfly
Yes we did get a dually - wasn't sure at first, but am now glad we did. Less mileage but takes a little more weight and more stable. Just saw a used camper in Indiana that sounds interesting. Might run down Saturday and look at it.

@katie - thanks. We made sure to find a truck first, that could handle whatever we wanted. Now that we have a truck, the camper shouldn't be long in coming.

Then we start the test runs... Lol

@ Rae - lol we stopped sleeping on the ground decades ago. Air mattresses are a great invention.

lonfu: that Weekender is about what we're looking for. A bit of a drive lol. We looked seriously at A's, but they're too high and too wide and just too much in size for us. I appreciate the offer, though.

That Lance is a nice one as well, but Lance's are on the pricey side.

blkjak: it's a GMC crew cab DRW LB with a Duramax engine and Allson tranny. Overkill, but it will outlast me and handle anything we'd care to throw on or behind it. Should be the last motor vehicle I ever buy (famous last words...)

Plan to pull out the back seats (one or both) and do a little construction for storage: things we want to have with us even if we've dropped the camper somewhere. It's a basic work truck, so not a lot to mess with.
