Hey guys!

First post here, probably should of checked the others for format but I'm short on time and wanna make sure I plant a seed here to come back to! I just heard mention of this place on Bob Wells YouTube channel with his recent Maxine upload and had to come stick my nose in! I  currently rent a house with a roommate in California, it's pretty much the only conventional thing about my life so far and to be honest it feels foreign and sometimes like a monkey on my back.

I have a little experience with tiny space living and even OTR living as I was homeless all of 2014 after an injury/jobloss/breakup trifecta that landed me in a Mitsubishi Mirage as an early 20s heavyset 6'2'' injured bear who's hope had recently run thin. If the space wasn't tiny enough I also had all my belongings boxes in the car, literally slept sitting up for a couple weeks which didn't help the injury. Anyways i fought to get into a building, a couch,  bed, a room, an apartment and eventually this house... I devoted all my energy towards the dream I was always told to have. I tried their way... it doesn't feel right. I feel like home is out there, when I was at my bottom, in that busted little car with nothing... I didn't worry anymore.

That may not say much... but I have PTSD and Social Anxiety. It was like a whole new medication to me. Coming here is just a sign of good faith to myself that Im sincere about my desires and want to reach this goal.

Currently working towards a safer vehicle to stay in to save more money towards a van. Eventually I'd like to see myself in an RV or a Bus... hopefully something better for the earth if they've made It by then but for now I just want to be able to see my country with my dog while I'm still here!

Sorry for the long read. Please understand if I take time to respond. I typed this all on a phone and it took like 20 minutes. Also, My memory isn't best.

Welcome

Yes indeed welcome! You sound like you have a pretty good handle on the needs of someone with PTSD...an anxiety disorder...and the need to be and feel safe. (The two are not synonymous.) Make good plans...and enjoy the process too! Hope to meet you sometime in the future (waiting on my new van to be built).

I like the title of your post. That is how I feel, too. Sassy
