we plan on spending the next month in the Teton/Yellowstone area and are looking for free/dispersed camping. we have looked at freecampsites.net, so any suggests besides that would be really helpful.

Raysmom, the best one I have found is across HWY 191 (South of Moran Junction) from Cunningham Cabin. Dirt road leads into National Forest land. Take a left at the fork after the Nat Forest sign and you come out on top of the hill. From there you have the most spectacular view of the Tetons you can imagine.

Here's a post on one I stayed at with a map to it:

I went to the Bridger-Teton National Forest website and did a search on dispersed camping and it lists quite a few. Do that at all the National Forests in the area and you'll find more.

When you get there, go to the Ranger station and ask for dispersed campsites and they will tell you about bunches of them. Generally, even the NP Visitor Center is knowledgeable about dispersed campsites close to the Park.
