 have watched a lot of the utube videos and so thankful for all the information.

keep watching...and have fun on the road.

If you haven't done this before,  I would advise taking things slowly at first.  Do some week end camping on the longer weekends.  These are called "shake-down's".   Then consider lining up two or three campgrounds in your area that are
20 or so miles apart to visit one night each on a long week end.  A tour.  In time you may increase the distances and campsites.  Think of this as a practice before actually going on the road.  If you are totally new to this, you may be glad
you did it later on.

Good Luck

Welcome Julie to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome - jump in the water is fine. Its so much more satisfying to do rather than watch. Not trying to be smart - I understand the planning and learning part. Just don't waste too much time like I did. I should have been full time years ago but my wife would't go; now she left and no one is holding me back. One of the reasons she left was she thinks I am mentally ill because I want to live in a van and see the world. Funny I think the same about people who want to sit inside the same old place day after day.

"people who want to sit inside the same old place day after day."
There will be time enough for that when we can no longer travel!
