Hello everyone.

I am from Ohio and have experimented with mobile living several times through the years. Some of my fondest memories have been on the road traveling solo and with friends.

The more time i spend trying to find myself in this world the further away i feel. I spend my days wishing i was on the road; seeing the abundant natural beauty of this great nation. Like many of you; i simply am not cut out for the rat race. Its time for a change.

Starting in May. I plan on hitting the road in an attempt to transform my life into one that is satisfying and memorable. I am going to really commit to the mobile living lifestyle.

Starting in Ohio, i plan on making a 3 month loop of the western U.S. starting in the Black Hills, onto the Olympic Peninsula and down through Oregon into California. Making my way back through Arizona and back into Colorado in August where i will make my final decision on which state to call my "home base".

During my trip i will be filming a documentary on Mobile Living, as well as making frequent updates on my experience via my YouTube channel.

I very much look forward to meeting other Nomads along the way, and perhaps even joining a caravan. Community is very important to me.

Welcome to the forums, and good luck with your plan. What part of Ohio are you in, I'm near Findlay in the NW.

Have fun.

Do remember that a lot of people who are in caravans or on the road do not want to be filmed or interviewed or participate in a documentary. So tread very lightly down that road and always respect that people don't want to have their lives or their rigs show up in photos or films on social media. You might be welcome as an individual but you holding a camera aimed at them might not be at all welcome.

Welcome to the CRVL forums Jason! Sounds like a good plan!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Thank you for the info! I completely agree and i would never film anyone without their permission. I am only interested in the community aspect of a caravan. If i do decide to do interviews i will arranged those with will participants ahead of time.

Thank you for the welcome! I have every intention of supporting this great community! That is what its all about!

June in the Olympic Peninsula tends to be very soggy and also fairly cold weather compared to other areas of the country. You will be in the rain forest country, not a lot of solar gain days. But a nice place to be when the rest of the countryside is sweltering in July and August.

Thank you! I have heard that. I will be sure to be prepared for wet conditions. July and August will be rough. I may try to plan around that. Thank you again for the information.

Awesome!

I too, am not cut out for the rat race! Planning my exit strategy. We all look forward to your documentary!
