I know she got back to the Okanagan after her accident and had/has to do some physio, but haven't kept in touch and her account has now been deactivated. Hope she's okay. ..Willy.

she is back with signman and re-covering I PM her and we have our little chats. Nice of you to be concerned How are you these days warming up a little hey? If you want to talk to her let me know.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind BS'ing with her. I deleted a bunch my old PM's.. including the one with her phone #. Gonna be headed up to the okanagan in a bit and, if she's there, wouldn't mind stopping by. ..Willy.

She had a bad road accident loose cargo totaled van she was on her way south. Dropped off the forum.

Yeah, read about it. Too bad she doesn't feel like hangin' here. Hope she gets back on the road again. ..Willy.

I won't go as far as saying she's fragile her spirits are improving and the sauce is heating up. I do think she needs to know we remember her and at the expense of sounding mushy a big hug would go a long way. We all need em from time to time.

I too miss her and a lot of those people that left all at the same time, this site has got a little boring without the controversial threads, heated debates and the characters that showed up for them. It made it interesting, entertaining and I thought it was well moderated. I don't come here as much anymore and rarely feel the urge to participate. Progress I guess.

Innuendoes have all but ceased to exist. Drama is no longer lingering in the next rebuttal, are we sheep or are we MAN. Lets have a show of ex girlfriends I'll start with my original hippiechick

Oh yeah, I sort of noticed that too. Oh well. Maybe there is another issue.
Perhaps some people do not share in the belief that it would be good if billions of people would die so that sacred mother earth would be better off.

Stepped my game into a 24' C-Class! After the dust settled I find I needed a bit more comfort, silly things like a shower & an oven! Just me & my 4 pound best buddy still out here boodocking. Living on solar, being a water miser, food budget is under $5/day & that includes the dog!

I made it down to Arizona & Mexico in the winter before this last but with out dollar so horribly low I stayed North last winter which was dumb!!! Quartzsite was a cute little town in the 70s which was the last time I was there & its a nice little place off season but just not my idea of a good time when it balloons. I did make some great friends there amongst the locals/ other travelers & had some individual meet ups with a few folk from here too. One on one or very small groups I do like people.

The accident left a permanent dent in my leg, seriously such a total non-issue. Never play the piano again...never could *rolls eyes!"

I have been through a fleet of rigs in that time, recovered for 3 months in a 35' A-Class, bought a truck/camper combo (lost the camper to forest fire), did another mini van, turned a bare shortie schoolie into a great little shack that I had recertified as a motorhome, made a mistake on a 30' travel trailer that turned out a leaker & have landed in my lovely C-Class. *whew*

Hmmm...seems there should be more to a couple of years but its been camping & camping...running from forest fires 2 summers in a row...& camping!

Oh, and a sad nod to my roomie & friend who came to get me after that crash...she died suddenly in September of 2014...it just wasn't like Frances to do a thing like that!!

Hugs!!

I went through the Okanagan the summer before last they have had their fare share of forest fires, glad to see you are doing good, I thought you went south for a new romance did that pitter out, welcome back

Super nice having giving friends, and happy to know such an insightful traveler rebounding from the depths of destruction is back in good stead.

Welcome home!

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.

You've been out there building some major character!

Hey Hippiechk, we don't know each other but I wanted to say hello.  It sounds like you've been through the wringer over the last bit, so sorry about your accident and your friend.

Love your pup and your new rig sounds like a keeper.  If you ever have the inclination or the time, maybe you'd consider doing a thread on how you eat on $5 a day?  I can do it when I have access to lots of cooking  fuel to make beans, but that's about as creative as my poor little brain gets.  :p
