Well made, durable boots and shoes are a good investment. Bad footwear can ruin your day. Try the Sierra Trading Post outlets. I can't shop for shoes online due to past broken bones and foot surgery. Gotta try 'em on and walk around a bit. But they will honor their online coupons at the store, in addition to the outlet discount. I just picked up a $120 list price pair of Chaco hiking boots for $68, including tax at the Cody, WY outlet. They have other lines of high end casual and outdoor clothing, too, but I have no personal experience with that. Yet.

Ha! Make that $140 Azula's. I got it wrong when I first looked. That's better than half price.

I'm glad you posted this. I'm camping near Laramie WY and I'm about 100 miles from Cheyenne, Wy which has a Sierra Trading post. Will it be worth the trip to me to stop by? Will it just have the same items listed on the internet?

My next stop is Leadville Co and I'd planned to take the backroads to get there through the mountains but I could take the freeway to Cheyenne and then Denver instead. I want to stop at Costco so that would be an advantage to me and I could hit REI as well.

Is it really worth going into one if their stores?

I looked for the store location, none in my area but I thought I’d share. A little pricey for me but the Clearance area had some good deals.

The on-line catalogs looked good.

Sadly, no clothing or shoes there in my size. I do have a hat from STP that did fit. If you are "Larger than the average bear" you need to shop elsewhere.....

I shop Sierra Trading Post online. When I was in Cody 4 years ago, I went to their store. I was disappointed at the selection there. But, I still find some real deals at their online store. It's one of my regular places to go searching when I'm looking for something in particular. Suanne
