I have been looking like crazy at different options, everything from regular van, motorhome, box truck, etc, but so far none have worked out for me.
Now I have heard about people converting school buses and such, but I have not seen any short under 20 ft conversions.
Before anybody says it, I have used the search engine here and came up with a big fat zero.
Anybody have any links to a good build? Preferably here, but I'll take what I can get.
Thanks in advance.

OK, did a google search and found schoolie.net among others, but if you guys have any more to add, I wouldn't mind.

So there is no shortage of short buses? I traveled 240 miles to see one, and the guy that said he was retired and always home wasn't.
I wrongfully assumed I could reach him by phone, but apparently this older gentleman is pretty set in his ways. Land line only, no cell. :-(
Anyway, it was good to get out for the drive.
Thanks for the suggestions and links. :)
I will keep looking.

Some of those shorties are 4X4. Not common that's for sure, but in rural areas, I see them. I know a church that has one, but when I asked about it, they didn't return my message. I assume it wasn't for sale, but sometimes you got to pound some doors instead of waiting for something to fall in your lap.

I don't want to be a downer on the idea...and lots of others have done it... but several recent threads on this forum warn about checking on insurance BEFORE you buy your rig to convert. Some states require commercial plates, some don't. You can find insurance as a homemade RV in some states and some you can't.

Since you are going for something unusual to convert, I thought I'd suggest looking in to those issues.
