My 2002 Tahoe Lite TT and my 1989 Tioga MHC are immune to recalls.

That potentially could still going to be an issue with some people who did van builds. You can buy that type of fitting in RV supply stores. There might be yet another announcement coming along if the defective quick connect fittings became part of the off the shelf supply chain.

There was a time in planning my travel trailer renovation that I considered using one of those items but I decided to for go bulk propane tanks and use an alternative heat, refrigeration and cooking fuel source.

Yes, and not just van builds. If you did any work or had any work done on your rig's LP system in the past two years, you could have problems. We just replaced our tank to hard line and valve to regulator fittings. I have no idea what fittings my partner bought or what the guy at Yavapai Bottle Gas put on our hoses. Guess I'll be making some phone calls...
