I've been reading up and watching youtube videos about removing and resealing RV windows. It look pretty straight forward... this makes me worry I may be missing something. :-/

Is it as easy as it looks?
(Is anything? lol)

Here is one such video:

it is easy and that's pretty much how it's done. a couple of things I do different. first I like to get it real clean acetone works good, but make sure it doesn't harm the paint, paint thinner works good also but leaves a film that you must clean off. 2nd I like to start and finish the new tape at the bottom of the window, because this is the least likely place to have a leak. 3rd be very careful unscrewing and screwing the trim plate, I like to break the screws loose by hand and to do the final tightening by hand. these screws have a habit of stripping the head, especially if they have been in a long time. lastly instead of using a razor to trim the excess tape I like to use a dull pencil. a razor will cut the paint layer pretty easily. highdesertranger

The professionals DO make it look easy don't they!

The windows that they show are the conversion windows like you've got in the rear section. The regular windows work a bit differently - they're rubber gaskets instead.

Just in case you decide to try sealing the windows instead of a complete re & re job here's the stuff to use:

It's designed to flow into the leaks. Just pry back the rubber gasket as far as you can and then smoosh the silicone in there.
