Hi there!
A few weeks ago my grandmother passed down to me her 2002 Pleasure Way Traverse. Up until this point, I have done all of my road trips in my Honda Element or sedan with a tent and sleeping bag. So as you can imagine, this is quite the upgrade for me! I am an NJ resident, so my boyfriend and I flew down to Florida to pick it up and drove to Maine for some camping. Our original plan was to go to Shenandoah and Smokey Mountains but the weather was going to be terrible. So we said screw it, and went on up to Acadia. I never thought that I would need most of the things that come along with the Traverse but man, that refrigerator is a GAME CHANGER! Not having to worry about food in my cooler going bad while camping in the middle of no where is just a treat. Also, being able to comfortably sleep in WalMart's and rest stops has saved me a lot of money on hotels. As far as the van goes, my grandmother kept it in excellent condition, and only put <75,000 miles on it in her 15 years of ownership. The top no longer pops up as it once did, leaving me useless when trying to open it. Thankfully my boyfriend is able to do it. Im thinking something is wrong with the hydraulics? Other than that and a few other minor things, it's like new!
I'm really looking forward to meeting new people within this awesome community! Thanks for letting me be a part of the fun!
