I have this new $499.99 RV furnace. but I don't need it since I've put one in my van build already.  I'm in Arlington, Texas (near Dallas), and want to donate this furnace to someone who is working on their own van build, needs it against the coming winter cold, but who is too strapped for cash to go out and buy their own furnace.  Any suggestions on how to find such a person? (Also, they will need to come pick it up in person.  I'm not going to ship it.)

that's very generous of you. thanks. I hope it goes to someone who really needs it. highdesertranger

I also think that's very generous but shipping might be kinda expensive, and its bit large for the typical van build...

Have you considered trying to sell it locally there in the DFW area on craigslist or similar websites and then just donate that money to HOWA....it might be a lot easier...no packaging or shipping involved.

Just a thought.

Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe HOWA would be able to help your help someone else.

Here is a link to their thread:

I hope this helps

Hello Happy :)
I'm a "happy camper" too, now that I've got my DIY van. I love working on it.

I've taken your advice, and have contacted HOWA for their help in getting it to the right person.  Good advice!

Image of product at link doesn't match the item's dimensions.

Weight is stated as 22 pounds.
Product Dimensions 21.13 x 22 x 9.5 inches

But the image is of something squarish on the face, but has a depth longer than two times the width of the face.

[Rant. I really dislike it when sites state three numbers then don't bother to label the order of the dimensions.]

I'm glad I was able to help. And very happy to hear you're enjoying your build! I'd love to see how you are putting yours together if that's something you'd like to share.
