if your asking it looks to me as if it has the wrong rims on it.  being a 1ton dually it should have hub-centric rims,  that black outer rim looks like a lug-centric rim.  although the pic is not that clear I could be mistaking.  highdesertranger

I just texted him to ask about the rims. I have no idea what the hell hub-centric or lug-centric means, but I feel so much smarter when I talk to sellers because of you HDR. I love when they pause and look at me shocked and impressed over something I have learned to ask or comment on because of you LOL

I don't know much to say, other than to say that's pretty impressive negotiating.

I am hopefully going to get it for $2500. Working it. Not to low ball the guy, it's really all I have lol.

Did you see the 2004 Freightliner bus that Gary68 posted while you were in sin city ?
Link belowVVVVVV

I just looked. I have never even driven a full sized van much less something that big. I better stick with a smaller bus. I once drove a box truck we had for sale on the car lot I work at and the detail guy said he thought I was going to take out part of the building when I pulled it around to the side LOL. I am going to have to practice before I hit the road and have good insurance  Also, I wasn't in Sin City. Still in sinful Tennessee. That was/is Pammy aka Theadyn. I wish I were with her though. She and I would have a blast

Was that a carp??? Whew! I wasn't sure what it was lol. I cant see the family badge well and it doesn't enlarge when I click on it. I may still have to see pissed off Yoda though. Darn my Alice In Wonderland mentality. I just gotta know stuff! Curiouser and curiouser... :D

SSW FYI, a hub-centric rim centers themselves on the rim on the hub(the round circle of the center of they rim) they have flat lug nuts. lug-centric rims center themselves on the lug nuts and have the more common to everyone acorn lug nuts, they have a tapper on the ends against the rims. although the rims will bolt up to each type they are not interchangeable. all duallies are hub-centric. highdesertranger

HDR so if they are not hub-centric I will need to change them then? What is the risk of having the wrong kind on there? Thanks!

yes you would need to get the correct rims. the risk is the tire and rim are not centered on the axle. so you would get at the very least vibration, at worst you would get tire hop. the tires would not be turning on the same rotational axis as the axle. highdesertranger

another point the inside rims on the rear of a dually must be hub-centric they CANNOT be lug-centric. so if you where to have a mix of hub-centric and lug-centric rims you could never interchange them. meaning if you to have a flat you would need to have both type of rims and lug nuts depending on what rim the flat is on. highdesertranger

That is important info. What would I do without you HDR? Can I keep you? I shall call you my squishy, and you shall be mine lol

I am waiting til the guy gets off work to let me know about the rims. I have been chatting with him all day. Super cool guy!! He is a Marine  , A biker  ,  and a fellow traveler/adventurer  . His family has had the bus 10 years. His uncle had it before him I think. And he said I can have for $2500 if I promised to send pics of it when I finish the conversion because he liked that I had dreams. That is $750 off his asking price so not too shabby I think. I plan to go get it Thursday if all checks out. I am hoping I do not drive 3 hours for a dud but I think it could be the one. So excited.

I will post pics when I get it home. I will have to sell some more cars before I can fix it up but at least it will be here. WoooHooo!!

Hahaha! After the last time, my dad, grandpa and uncle came to me in a dream and told me to knock it off! LOL! :) Then a couple of my old Drill Sargents dropped by to make sure I got the point.

It's tough being a guy in the modern age. :D
