Hello all!

I'm really happy to find this forum. I have long wanted to live and travel around the country then, when it's time, settle into an off-grid home. (love raising animals, gardening, etc)

My father has driven semis all my life when I was younger my mother and I traveled with him. Over the years I got all the 'stuff' - 9-5 job, 2 cars, 3br house that was FULL!, etc. Lost the job in the recession and most of the stuff. I decided to travel the world and sold off most of the rest of 'the stuff' in the process. Now I'm back in the US for the foreseeable future taking care of my aging grandma. I'm using the time to get prepared to live out my dream!

I bought a 79 E150 Econoline conversion van last year. It's now getting a complete engine overhaul now! YAY! Most everyone I know has thought I was nuts for not just getting a little car to drive around. "What do you need THAT for???!!!" <sigh> They just don't get it.

I've been wanting to remodel the inside to be more live-in practical. In my research I found this group.

Nice to meet y'all
