Thought I'd post a few travel pics from my meanderings.IMG_20210924_095112.jpg
My green bus parked beside a friend's Leyland Roadrunner Horsebox, which he lives in fulltime. Photo taken at South Gare which is near Redcar in the North East of England.

A few more photos from South Gare. Its a single track private road leading to nothing much, just a couple of small coves & a lighthouse. Just offshore is a windfarm of 27 windmills. The boat is a gas tanker going into Teesport which is a port next to Middlesbrough.
Spend a lot of time here, watching ships coming & going, plus dolphins & seals sometimes. A friend & I collect driftwood from the shore for our log burners.IMG_20211016_103535.jpgIMG_20211017_105909.jpg
Couple of shots from a small meet I attended at a bar called Wills O' Nat's near Holmfirth This bar was used to film a programme called Last Of The Summer Wine sometimes .

My bus parked in Blue Bank Carpark on The North Yorkshire Moors not far from Whitby. Parked in front of me is a friends Iveco Ex bus, & Tommy's Roadrunner again.IMG_20210904_114705.jpg
My bus again, parked at an historic canal site called Bugsworth Basin. This is over in the Peak District in Derbyshire & has an interesting past as a transfer yard for the limestone quarries in the area.

Few more pics from Bugsworth Basin. The canal usually has a few narrow boats moored there. The Navigation Inn next to the canal serves an outstanding pint of Murphy's stout.IMG_20210824_134038.jpgIMG_20210824_135345.jpg
Couple of pics from a small rally I attended which was organized by my good friend Maggie. She owns the yellow bus parked next to mine. The landowner is a really nice guy, he gave us the whole field to park in, then supplied us with firewood from his logging business for free. He also delivered a large picnic bench for us to use, & invited us to his private bar every night we were there.

Great post and pix Bear. I spent almost 6 months in England back in the 80's helping to reopen RAF Fairford. What a blast. The Anglo side of my family came from right on the border of Cambridgeshire and Essex, and from Halstead. Nothing changes much in the old country, because BOTH family piles are still there even after 1000 years in one case! It's even listed in the Domesday book and it was old then.

Cheers!

Glad you liked the pix, I always try to take a few when I travel, but sometimes I get caught in the moment & forget until i move on....
