Passport Portable Potty

I have this crapper and I think it’s the chit.

It survived over four months of constant usage with the workload one would expect from a man that is 6’2” weighing in at 275 pounds on a high fiber diet.

It has a two-gallon capacity so it’s easy to carry and more frequent disposable is a good thing IMHO.

I never add water to the top fresh water tank and use a 2.5-gallon masonry pump up can sprayer that is located next to the chamber pot.

Plus it’s now on sale for $60 at the sportsman’s guide.

I have a similar thetford. I only use it when regulations force me to. I use cat holes most of the time. when I build my trailer I will install a proper commode and holding tank, but will still use cat holes. highdesertranger

I have a Thetford 260b marine potty. Pretty happy with it.

I have that same unit except mine has an 18L capacity. I haven't used it yet since I'm still in the pre-full time phase but would imagine that frequently emptying the contents would be the wise choice. To be honest, 18L is much too much, especially considering what it's holding so I plan to dump it before getting anywhere near full. At the same time, the extra capacity means the unit is taller overall, which enables me to be at my optimal pooping angle. If I were in a van, I would have surely opted for the smaller unit but since I've got the extra space in my popup TC, I went big.

Have you guys received any questionable looks from people who've seen you going to/from places to empty the cassette?

When I had one I generally managed to remember to dump it on my way in or out of a campground and would just pull the vehicle up close. I never cared to carry the cassette any distance. No matter how careful you are, the vent valve generally allowed a little bit of leakage if you were carrying it by the handle and carrying it level against my body wasn't going to happen...

The thing I objected to was having to pay the same for a dump station as the guys with 40 gallon holding tanks!
