hahaha there's a discussion on here someplace about how old "old" is...and most of us agree the older we get the older "old" means. Welcome!

Welcome aboard Kingdomdweller!
Yup , old is always at least 10 years away ! Maybe 20!

My first road trip was in 1973 in a VW Squareback wagon...went from N.J. to Colorado .. had a great time. My big extended trip was in '78 in a '67 Chevy Schoolbus I found on a farm in northern Vermont..paid $175. for it.. lived in it for about a year .. went to the left coast.. almost stayed in Port Angles, WA. but changed our minds and spent the winter in Steamboat Springs CO. as a sandwich maker in the Shortbranch Saloon... that was fun. Came back to Vermont in '80 and stayed here. Raised a bunch of great kids {3}.. all of them are grown and gone.. one son in CA and another in ID. and a daughter here in VT. My sweetheart and I are thinking of taking another trip soon.. Oh by the by, I'm 72 and I have a hard time keeping up with my 2yr old grandson, but I think I can still drive a bus. Nice talking with you all.

Send us lots of postcards,,,,,,,well , post pictures.

Welcome to the CRVL Forums   :)

Yeah,  that Schoolie sounds like a real "trip ship".   Love to see a photo of it.

I'd invite you to take a look at the bottom link in my signature line for planning
your trips and finding useful resources while on the road.  Could be handy to know
about.
