ran across this and wanted to know your opinion folks! how much would you think this is worth? is it any good?

Seems a little pricey for a 25 year old vehicle. Not terrible, but, I don't see the value. the single (no mention of output) solar looks a little shaky perched up on the end of the vehicle, and I see no mention of any charge controller or inverter. Also, although it's listed in Florida, it looks like it's tagged somewhere else and I can see a bit of rust here and there.
Nothing mentioned about any kind of holding tanks and over all things look jury rigged.

There's not a thing that has been done to that vehicle n the way of conversion that would stay if I had it in my hands.

Carpentry work is mediocre at best. Square add on windows, exposed plumbing lines etc. etc.

If you're interested in an ambulance, I'd suggest starting with an empty one rather than paying for what has been done to this one.

Pass on this one!

While probably functional, the interior construction is pretty crude. Nothing there most people with very limited skills couldn't build and no appliances. Gets a thumbs down from me.

+1 on Pass.

Reminds me of an old, old friend who saw function over form in everything...his apartment was a horror of stacked curb-shopped furniture and spider webs of wires of every sort. In his eyes it was completely awesome and covered all his needs. He was always happy to give people the tour of all his ingenuity. He was an early lesson on just how disparate people's views of reality can truly be...

I agree to much money for a shabby conversion. more than half that solar panel is hang off the back with no support, not long or this world. the use of OSB, ick. residential square corner windows, no good. highdesertranger

Agreed. Even if you are a woodbutcher, you can still use plastic wood and paint to make it look better. This guy could not be bothered. And as discussed the other day, the 20#er on the back door does not cut it either.

All I can say is EEEWWWWWW!!! I wouldn't pay more that $2500 for that and I'm being generous.

I wouldn't poopoo residential windows if the entire wall was framed properly(that's FRP, not plastic or aluminum) but I'd bet money very little of what's in that box or attached to it is proper. Big fat pass on it for your safety and those around you.

Headache it doesn't matter how you frame the wall. square 90 degree corners will stress fracture at the 90 when put under vibration. I had an old travel trailer, it did it. if you notice 98% of newer RV's have radius corners on their windows. they changed this for a reason. you don't see square corners on aircraft windows, for the same reason. where you get settling of the earth or earthquakes this even happens in residential houses. I am just tying to educate people so they don't make the mistake of putting residential windows on a build and I am not even talking about them not being safety glass. highdesertranger

This resembles arctic cat's rig - maybe he would have an opinion?

The only thing in common with them is that they are both old ambulances!

That ambulance makes me sad! As the resident ambulance guy, I vote "NO"
