Anyone vandwelling in Williston area of North Dakota?

How is it for stealth camping?

welcome .... blkjak

Isn't Williston near the oil fields and since housing is scarce for the workers there are campers everywhere?

Welcome to the forum!

Maybe check on city-data.com. Last I read, even parking w/o hookup was oh dear god expensive.

I was in Williston last winter in January for 3 weeks and never even entertained the thought of stealth camping. I didn't think there was a need. With my rig it's out anyway it's a class B that says "Hey, I'm sleeping in my van" pretty loudly. I never had any trouble at all. Kripes I seen "C's" parked in parking lots and on the streets. People sleeping in cars and what-not too. I don't think you'll have much trouble unless your doing something stupid.
Right now I'm in Parshall, ND (90 miles from Williston) working and have my van parked at the company equipment yard plugged into their pole; so life is good:).

I don't know where your from but if you plan to be there this winter you better double up on insulation, propane & heaters. When I was there sleeping in my van in January it was in the -20 somethings at night for a few nights.

gus
