I was really impressed with the design and utility this fellow managed to get out of his Connect...

Wow, that's nice.  Now he just needs a roof rack and solar panel.  :D

I wish I had the carpentry skills to pull something like that off, but I don't.  I wonder how much the camper kit weighs.

More than likely it's a bit heavy by the looks of it. Most of it looks like it could be made thinner as you need more vertical shear strength then horizontal on the bed. The bookshelf could be made thinner with a backing panel to stop it from racking (swaying) on you.

Whenever I see a kit like that I get a little jealous, but it doesn't last.  Some day I'm going to upgrade to another van, and Ford doesn't make that body style anymore.  The last thing I want is a TC-specific interior that can't be used in anything but a TC.
It looks great, don't get me wrong, but I like that my bed, table, toilet, water, stove, cooler, lights etc. can be installed in any van I get.  The only thing I'll have to change will be the plywood on the floor.

I think that 3 position/purpose slide shelf is pretty sharp, and could be incorporated into a modular design that fits any van of similar dimensions...
