Looking forward to learning more from this forum and cheaprvliving. My plans are to be at the 2019 RTR and be a full time vandweller by next June. Is there a list anywhere of "absolute essentials" for someone just starting out like me.

Welcome to the CRVL forums, hrock! The list of essentials depends entirely on you. For me, when I was younger, it was a pad and sleeping bag and a cooler. Starting out again, after I raised my son I thought I needed the amenities of a motor home. After 2 years in that I realised I wanted to simplify. Now I have a van with a bed, a cooler and a one burner stove. I'm hoping to add solar in the fall so I can have a fridge and use my laptop.

The only "absolute essentials" in vandwelling are a sleeping bag and a camping stove. Everything else is a luxury.
