New Van Dweller here in Mesa Az, planning on the 2019 RTR

Hello all, names Darrell, I recently was forced to move out of my apartment and become Homeless due to new ownership of the complex not accepting federal Section 8 Housing Assistance. I purchased a 2001 Chevy Astrovan and have started setting it up to live in. After seeing many of Bob Wells's videos I am making it my mission to go to the RTR. I am new to "Van-Life" and am interested meeting others in the area to talk with, maybe travel to Quartsite for the RTR with.

i was in a similar situation a few years back. after a work related injury i lost my space to live. moved into my car (geo metro) then after a year (ish) i upgraded to a minivan. i did have the benefit of having done a LOT of car camping over the years. keep an open mind to this new world you are exploring and you can learn a lot at the RTR, along with making new friends that "understand" and having a great time to boot...

Hi Darrel and welcome. Sorry to hear about the housing loss. I lost my apt about 7 years ago, lil different circumstances, but it seemed unfair. Que Sera, Sera.
