Hello,
I am new to this forum.  A little about me—I am a couple of years away from retirement and, once retired, plan on living the nomad life as long as possible.  I have been planning this for a couple of years and have already embarked on a few test runs—one of which was for 3 weeks.  I learned a lot—what I really needed to bring and most importantly, what I didn't need!

My vehicle is a Toyota 4Runner that I have set up with a sleeping platform in the back.  Eventually I plan on getting a small trailer such as an ALiner (not entirely sure yet).

Welcome to the community! Although I am not a full time nomad ( planned 1-2 week trips exploring) I also did the test runs. Those shorter trips really help with my personal needs. What you need as a camper versus a living situation. Another great source is this community. Many here have been nomads for years and have knowledge of all aspects of this lifestyle. Also knowledge of almost every vehicle out there. I hope you enjoy the community!!

Welcome to the CRVL forums JanaBanana! Sounds like the nomad life will be a good fit for you. Keep us updated!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.
