I am a recent widower after 46 years of marriage and was a full time caregiver for my wife for many years.
Now I want to get out and travel.  I am selling my house and converting my Honda Minivan to a camper since I already own it.
I have taken out the seats except the driver one of course. So what suggestions are there for the next step or order of steps?
I have watched a lot of youtube van conversiions and tours of vans  on Bob's videos.

Welcome Creation2 to the CRVL forums! Sorry for your loss. Make some short overnight stays in the van. You will figure out what you need. Prior camping experience helps. What works for other people in their builds may not work for you.

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Number one priority is to make a comfortable place to sleep. Try different positions and orientations. Make temporary beds to find the best place to get a good nights sleep.

Thanks bullfrog.   I will test some temporary beds  .  I think my first test will be to have my feet where the passenger seat was lying on the floor with a 4 inch foam under me.
Have to clean out my garage to get the Honda in so I can try it.  I need a big, big reason to get me motivated to clean out the garage.

I would suggest buying one of the Quick Set Clam shelters with some side panels. That will expand your living space while providing shelter that is super fast to put up and take down. You can slerp in thelittle Honda but you wnt to be able to have a cooler place to hang out in and even do some coking in it where you are protected from wind, rain, sun and insects.

You will have such fun, planning adventures and taking baby steps to get 'er done! Try sleeping in the car in the garage until you perfect the bed situation (maybe just a few naps in the afternoons). Also, address the toilet issue. Then the cooler, cooking and dishwashing issue. Just daydreaming and jotting down ideas is a big help in the planning stage. Keep us posted, please.
