Hi,
I have just moved into my travel trailer full time because I cannot afford rent. I divorced a year ago in February and receive no support. Since I was married, I hadn't worked a regular job for nine years. I've tried getting one but have had no luck. I am 63 years young and it seems that there is so much discrimination against my age.
I applied for a customer service job in a field I have worked in for forty years. I passed the phone interview, back ground check, intelligence test, and physiological test. I went in for my face to face interview of a panel of four, and was told I didn't get the job because there were other applicants with better qualifications. Yet, they still list the job opening on their website...
I used some of my savings to purchase a travel trailer to live in. Now I will never be homeless. This is all new to me, and a bit scary, but I'm a survivor and a fast learner. I still have some savings so I'm good for now. I've watched Bob's videos for some time now. so have been learning about living full time in an RV/van. I hope this forum will help me get started and back to enjoying life again.
I'm presently staying at an RV park in ABQ while I get to know my trailer, which I have named Ora Mayflower. The rent is $300 a month + electric usage. I hope that Ora Mayflower will allow me to voyage to many beautiful places. BTW, my cousin has just proven through DNA that two of our ancestors were on the Mayflower!
