Hello fellow travelers! I have lurked in the forums long enough, time for me to say hi, I am in the process of building my van and tying up the last few loose ends before I hit the road full time.

The Route 66 comment got me right there, know what I mean? I'm old enough to have driven Route 66 in its heydays and dang do I miss them! I remember the television show from the 60s and the jazzy little piano jingle in the intro. The Cafe's with fresh coffee brewed in a Bunn and served in those thick heavy cups. A nice motel room for $8.95 Air Conditioned! Remember when that was a novelty? Thanks for the memories …
