Hello everyone.

In the past I've thought about living in an RV or other vehicle, researched it, and never ended up doing anything.  But I have for the past 6 or 7 years though a lot about living cheaply and freely. That lead me to researching and buying a house on a few acres in a low cost area outside of a small town.  I'm living very cheaply, basically low taxes and minimal utilities.  But I'm not free.  I'm not seeing, doing, experiencing, and meeting people.

So, I'm buying a van!  I found an awesome 1 owner 2003 Ford E350 for a fair price from great people that have all the service records.  I will pick it up early next week, and the adventure will begin. I feel fortunate for this find.

I plan to be working on the build pretty much full time until its done.  I want it ready to go out early spring.  Lots of research to be done.  I'll be doing a build thread, and a lot of reading and studying.

Congrats on making the change to nomadic.

I so get ya on 'living cheap' and easy and free and below radar and cutting costs and more.
but it is a stagnant, stay home life and if it suits you, oh yea go for it :)

but if that wandering bug is in you then all sticks and bricks holding you down have to go :) then it is time to hit the road and find your adventures as you need. best of luck on what you do!!

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I pick up the van tomorrow. Very excited!

@travelaround - I like the quote in your signature. Poetic and freedom inspiring.

@RoamerRV428 - We'll see if the bug catches. If I know myself at all, I suspect it will.
