Hello everyone. I've been living out of my car for the past two and a half months. Started from Milwaukee and headed south. I'm now located in Lake Charles, LA. I recently read Walden on Wheels, a fantastic book by Ken Ilgunas. He mentions CRVL, so that's how I heard about it. It's been pretty lonely on the road, so I figured I should find a community of people that are doing something similar to what I'm doing, if only online, at least.

I graduated as an engineer from Purdue University in Indiana, got a corporate engineering job in Indiana, hated it to death and quit after 6 months. I've got a 1990 Chevrolet S10 Tahoe that runs well enough to get me from place to place. I'm trying to make music on the road as well. I have a midi keyboard, a guitar, and a laptop with Ableton Live. In addition to that, I'm trying to learn Spanish. These two things keep me busy most of the day.

In addition to traveling from city to city and living from my car, I've also been using Workaway to find hosts to stay with. They provide me with food and housing in exchange for a few hours of work a day. Some Workaways have been great, others terrible. But I won't be doing any more Workaways in the near future.

I'm looking forward to having some discussions on the site. It will be nice to know there are others out there...
