Hi y'all I knew at this camping stuff I have a SUV with a tent that connects to it I did the Appalachian trail last year I would like to do courtside area maybe next winter looking forward to it just don't know if tents are a good way to go and if they do bother you because you have a car SUV tent set up

Welcome to the forum!

Yes, people do camp in tents here in the Quartzsite area for the winter, it's perfectly fine. In fact, a few folks have some pretty elaborate multi-tent setups, which I suspect they also use at Burning Man. In general, I'd say that any tent that can stand up to the conditions at Burning Man will work just fine here.

You can count on a least a few windy days - gusts around 30 mph. A regular WalMart tent won't stand up to it. You'll need a heavy-duty tent.

Check with your tent's maker and find out what they say.

Welcome to the CRVL forums WTFC! Many people use a small tent as a storage unit which frees up the vehicle space for living quarters. A little more comfortable for the windy, rainy, or cold weather that occasionally occurs in Quartzsite during the winter.
