need somewhere in central Tennessee to park my vehicle.  I am new to this.  after i store my belongings, i will buy a vehicle.  my friend is driving me to tenn. and taking me to find a vehicle.I am 70 years old, being forced to leave my apt.  watched all the videos about boondocking,  I don't make enough money to qualify for any apt i tried to get.  I have to live in my car until i can get into a senior place with reduced payments on rent
I would prefer a driveway somewhere but will park anywhere.  Walmart is my first option but just hope the car i get doesn't break down on me. I am quiet and honest.  I know God has someone out there that will help me find a parking place that is safe.

Welcome to the CRVL forums ekkonasia! Have you checked online for free campgrounds? There are some in central Tennessee that may work for you - https://freecampsites.net/#!(35.77549,+-86.83044) I hope you find a good reliable car. Minivans are a good choice and can be outfitted for living with just a few items such as a cot, sleeping bag, cooler chest and storage containers.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

You should contact the local churches. There will be people around the area who would be able to offer you a safe place to stay and also give you some real help in finding more permanent housing.

Welcome to the forum, ekkonasia... I hope you'll like living in your vehicle. It sounds like this is an emergency scenario for you to survive between homes, but maybe the freedom of driving around in your tiny home will grow on you. I'm living in one of those senior apartments and look forward to moving out in three months to live in my van. I want an adventure. At 66 I feel like I'm too young to stay here waiting to die like so many others are. I want to go out into the world, travel and have fun. And I agree with Maki that you might find a good parking place by advertising on a church bulletin board.

HI
sorry your situation is so forced. wishing you the best.

but local churches in the area are a fine place to start asking about parking your vehicle. If they can help they will and they have a lot of great references/resources that might help you. It is a good place to start.

Best of luck!
