My new security light is scheduled to arrive this Saturday.

I am going to mount it on the top and center of my truck cap rear door.

It’s going to be wired along with a 12-volt interior light already mounted to the load side of my solar controller and I will set up the load side to be able to turn both off/on manually so it does not come on while on the highway and so I will not become LEO bait.

The rest of my electrical loads will be hooked directly to the auxiliary battery by a 15amp fused ciggy lighter harness.

Interesting product.

Let us know if the light output meets your expectations. Lumen claims mean very little in this day and age.

I have the same light w/o PIR for indoor use in my van. It is a yellowish light (no harsh whiteness to cause migraines). I picked it for that reason. I use them indirectly to light the interior. One at the rear and one at the front of living space. Both pointing up across the white ceiling.

I just took one down (clamped in place temporarily) and pointed it out the side door. It lights up to about 12 feet out for almost 180 degrees.
