Hi am living in England, Got a sexy van looks lovely in white, Was born 2006. When i got it was a crewcab, Did not like it as was had to get out to move into the back. So removed split charger 1kw inverter and x2 battaries and microwave only 400watt @ 240volts /   Will be putting some off the above back in, But in better place.

Looking to get it as light a possible, Inside the Rear door's will be garage space, with porta potti, then bed area with loads of storage under it will be very high, then a open space just behind the drivers seat. Will use cargo netting and straps to keep all from moving to the front under  heavy braking, As the roof is 8ft high i will not be putting solar cells up there, Thinking of portable flex panels,
For cooking Primus Omnifuel camping stove (Multifuel ),  Water kept in 4gallon container's  Cheap washing up bowels x3 for Washing up,  Looking for table for outside as will use van floor as seating Sliding side door, Tarp over rear door if wet / Raining

Is very cold at this time in England, Was abit of snow last week, So not working on sexy van at this time.

     Life should be fun,      John

Your attachments don't seem to have worked.
They are sort of a PITA to get working right.
Looks like a nice clean van. Clean. Could be a painter or a delivery van. Bet it's narrow for all those skinny streets.
Does this qualify as a lory? Just another ignorant american. :)

Rated at 3500Kg So under EU law it is heavy good test need - Am 64years old at 70 they will wish my 3500Kg to 7Ton Also take trailer towing away as well - So will DeRate it below 3500Kg And Make most every thing removeable. So can keep driving. Lived in a van 30 years ago was not the kit around then, Is so easy today ...

Welcome to the CRVL Forums   :)

Nice Van you have to work with.   Your plans for it sound interesting and the space at the back behind the rear doors for a garage and porta potti  are an interesting use of that area of the Van.

I hope the weather warms up for you soon so you can return to your building project.   I agree with your vision of keeping a Van simple and lite as one never knows when he may have to remove everything and return to using it as a Cargo Van.   A rapid remove/restore travel kit may amplify the benefits of owning such a Van.   If those interior components can be made to knock down,  fold up,  telescope,  or deflate in such a way to stow in a small storage area, then they would make an even more valuable kit.

Best wishes on completing your Van and getting out in the world with it.

My age is the problem if it is to heavy under Uk law at 70years old can be stopped from driving over 3500Kg , Wish not to much just a safe place to sleep, Which is dry if possible and a bit of food, Like to pour the water out, That way I will know how much i have, Wish no water pump, Gas cooker inside of a van again is something i do not want ever.
Am very happy with the area I live in. Just wish abit of freedom that is all. And to be free from high living Rent's and Bill's

Am 6ft 4in high Can just stand up inside of rear of van, Floor is abit high as it is RWD Just right for my seating area.   Van is Ford Transit LWB hightop only 2.4 diesel engine, My max speed is only 50mph by law

Welcome aboard !
50 is a good speed to see more than just the road.

50mph is okay but on dual highways cars can do 60 by law, On motorways cars max is 70mph - my max is still only 50mph and am not allowed into 3rd lane of motorways in England by law. This is the Mk7 Transit which is a 5speed very under geared, Which can make for lots of fun with a empty van as the back end is always stepping out, Up very step hills and tight corners in the rain keeps me very much awake. Needs a caravan on the back to slow it down abit - Same speed limits still apply in Uk if towing. Already has the Tow pack on it. Anyone wish to rent a caravan in England ( Very Cheap ).
